I've got xfire... mine is highlighter.

I've got no idea what vent is, but I'll download it..

vent is a program we use to talk to each other during scrims.. Its much clearer and better than what steam provides.

If anyone's in Auckland I can hook them up with a cheap has shit mic headset (of uber-shit quality) from Dick Smith. I'm still working there part time until I get bored enough to get a real job now I've graduated. I use one from dickies, it's crap, but it seems to work well enough. It's $28 retail but only $2.70 on staff, so it's worth it if you've got nothing else.

Let me know if you want one anyways. Or anything else from dickies for that matter, I have no qualms about abusing my staff discount if I can get away with it. Most stuff is still cheaper at QMB retail than Dick Smith staff price anyway though.

the lapel mics from dick smith are actually very good.

You should stock up on a couple, I've never had any problems with them, neither have my friends, and they're cheap as anything. The quality on them is better than most mics, strangely enough

$10 is a bloody good deal, might be even less with staff discount!

Ok, I can get the lapel ones too no problem. Probably be about $2 on staff. Anyone who really wants one of those or the headset, let me know and I'll pick it up next time I work. The staff discount is rediculously good for anything that is DSE or DIGITOR brand, because the markup is around 1000%. Any label brands the discount is only about 10-25%. As those mics are DSE brand, they are uber cheap.

So post here if you want one (specify lapel or headset) and I'll check the thread before I go to work again (which will actually be Thursday next week when I think about it because I'm going to Dunedin this weekend).
