Opera - you know you like it :P

WELL so I mentioned earlier that I am in an opera at the moment.

It's a version of Charles Dickins' "A Christmas Carol". And I must say, it is a great fun opera

Traditionally opera has been the play thing of really really old people. When I started I thought 'holy crap, what the hell am I going to get out of this'. Turns out, the opera company I'm in, no one is older than 28. In fact, at 22, I am the 6th oldest person there! The cast go out and get drunk together, go swimming after the shows (in the middle of the night) and even have crazy in-cast relationships :S Those are always hella funny.

It's a really fun show, and it's cheap as piss. $25 for adults, $20 for students. I highly recommend you guys come along:

operas are ok. however anything to do with xmas carols are annoying

have you never read the charles dickens story? While carols play a small part, it's all about scrooge.

Wtf your in an opera? Are you guna be up on stage singing your lungs out like pavaroty? I havent been to one before, and unless im going with my girlfriend I dont think I ever will. Sounds like a pretty sweet cast youve got though, any excuse to go boozing with people im in Good on ya for doing something like this. I think ill stick to the golf course though.

It's fun, but you really need to go to something that appeals to you. I think this is one of the few operas that appeals to everyone
