What's up with the serious lack of GOOD flight sims for PC? Especially Civil flight sims with Boeing, Airbus planes etc.. anyone know any good ones? I saw some screenies of one a while ago, but the graphics were pixely as!

Yea, its because

1) They're old
2) They have to render the ground, sky, sea etc. which takes up heaps of memory, so they cant make it too detailed

I actually swear my pentium 133 got better graphics than that sh!t.

does ne one remember the game IGI (i go in) sounds a bit gay, and thats probably why it diddnt take off but it was fuking kool, and the engin was a filght sim engin..

but the best flight sim was "x-wing"

i spent fuking ages playing that.. freelancer wasnt bad either

I have lock-on, its ok (not that great).. but I prefer flying the big planes and having super relistic controls, flight-paths etc.. dog-fighting gets boring quickly for me.

Also i notice Microsoft flight simulator only goes to 2004.. isnt there any new ones ffs??

Nope 2004 is the newest. When 2006 (or 2007... or 2008... watever) comes out it'll cost heaps

Looks like its called Microsoft Flight Simulator X at the mo.. probably because they dont wanna call it 2006 if its released in 2007. But from what i've read on a random site it wont be finished for another year.
